CLINICAL CASE - KARINA ARRIETA
Presents: Fever and wheezing of acute onset.
Respiratory distress: decreased vesicular murmur in left hemithorax, elongated expiration.
Prescription: oseltamivir is administered for 5 days and the patient progresses favorably.
Warnings: Patients with underlying respiratory disease, such as asthma or other chronic lung diseases cannot take this drug.
Side effects: The patient may present; diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain, headache and vomiting.
At the end of the treatment, the patient should not present fever, wheezing, her vesicular murmur should be completely normal.
